Srdjan Djokovic: "Novak is not planning retirement. He wants to play at least until 2024 Paris Olympics."
The defeat of Novak Djokovic in the final of the 2021 US Open started many stories. Some of the stories have revolved around his possible retirement coming sooner than many though as Djokovic became very emotional talking about being away from his family and seeing his children grow up without him. It's something that has been talked about by many tennis players and Djokovic is no different.
Those talks are now done and dusted as his father Srdjan Djokovic revealed his plans:
"Novak is not planning retirement. He wants to play at least until 2024 Paris Olympics."
Srdjan Djokovic is known for his outspoken views and he often made remarks that have been deemed controversial at best however he is the first person close to Novak Djokovic to reveal any sort of plan. Whether Novak Djokovic truly plans to play that long remains to be seen but he is certainly capable of doing so if he stays healthy.
It would also give him a very solid chance at breaking many more records which is something he had admitted still motivates him, especially the grand slam one.
