Serbia’s legendary tennis star
Novak Djokovic has unveiled a new pair of shoes for the two upcoming tournaments.
The 36-year-old has not played a professional
tennis match since his Davis Cup appearance where he defeated Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
In a post on social media platform X -- previously known as Twitter -- Djokovic's new pair of shoes, which is red in colour, was unveiled for the upcoming Paris Masters and ATP Finals.
The Belgrade-born is often
regarded as the greatest player in the history of men’s singles tennis in the
Open era, having won 24 Grand Slam titles.
His 24th major title
victory came recently in New York where he defeated the current world number
three Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3.
With that win, Djokovic ended up
winning three out of four Grand Slams in 2023. His only defeat this year in a
major tournament came in the final of Wimbledon where he lost to Spain’s young
sensation Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set thriller with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6),
6–1, 3–6, 6–4.
The current world number one’s
most successful competition has been the Australian Open where he has lifted
the title 10 times which is also a record in the competition’s history.
