Romania’s tennis star Jaqueline
Cristian has continued the yearly tradition at the
Transylvania Open.
The 25-year-old is taking part in
the event where she has already booked her place in the second round after
winning the round of 32 clash against Switzerland’s
Celine Naef with a score of
6-4, 6-4.
Despite her impressive on-court
performances, Cristian has not forgotten to follow the year tradition at the
event.
To compliment that, Cristian wore
the Dracula cape ahead of every match. That tradition has now been followed
for the last three years.
The Bucharest-born is now set to
face Germany’s
Eva Lys in the round of 16 tie on Thursday. It will be the first
time when both players will face off on the tennis court.
Cristian will be hoping to
overcome her next challenge and continue her winning run in the competition
after suffering a heartbreak in the previous WTA tournament in Rouen where she
was knocked out after losing the semifinal to Switzerland’s
Viktorija Golubic
in straight sets with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
