The tournament has received the High Patronage of Her Majesty Margareta, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown.
The tournament has a unique yellow t-shirt for tennis supporters from Romania, which features a vampire bat and a tennis ball.
The most recent champion of the Transylvania Open is Anna Blinkova, who won her first WTA singles title in 2022. She came from the qualifiers and defeated Jasmine Paolini in the final by 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
