"If they don't let him go in half an hour, we will gather on the street" Novak Djokovic's father has accused Australian officials of "holding my son captive" after the tennis star landed at Melbourne airport overnight.
In the latest aspect of the Novak Djokovic case on landing in Australia, the interrogation is over and he is currently in custody for extradition awaiting a final decision.
But his father, Srdjan also spoke out in news reported by Sputnik accusing them of holding him captive and that they will 'fight on the street' for him.
"I have no idea what's going on, they're holding my son captive for five hours. This is a fight for the libertarian world, this is not just a fight for Novak, but a fight for the whole world! If they don't let him go in half an hour, we will gather on the street, this is a fight for everyone," he said.
A decision is likely to be released shortly and new information will be confirmed on the current status of Djokovic.
