Olympic champion Alexander Zverev visit FC Bayern

Alexander Zverev returned to Germany after his Olympic Games triumph and the German went straight to Munich. Zverev is a huge football fan and his favourite club is Bayern Munich. He was invited to join the club on a special occasion and he accepted. There he spoke with the media.

Asked how he felt he said:

"Of course, it's an incredible feeling. Winning gold at the Olympics is the greatest thing you can achieve in sport. All the hard work over the last few years is paying off. I'm a very normal person. It's nice to see that the other football legends here are also normal guys."

Asked what his connection to Bayern was he said:

"I have two favourite clubs. Internationally, at a really high level, it's always been FC Bayern. My first jersey was an FC Bayern one, with Oliver Kahn on the back. As a Hamburg fan, I'm also a HSV fan. But FC Bayern is the biggest club in the world for me and also the one I follow the most."
