Former world number one Serbian Novak Djokovic revealed one Grand Slam triumph, which was special because of the presence of his family and children. The 37-year-old is regarded as the greatest player in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles.

Djokovic has been recently quoted in a report where he mentioned the special feeling of winning Grand Slam number 23. The Belgrade-born star stated that winning the French Open in 2023 was a special one because his wife and kids were present in the arena.

He defeated Norway’s Casper Ruud in the final in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-3, 7-5. With that triumph, he became the player with the most Grand Slam titles in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category in the Open era, overtaking Spain’s Rafael Nadal, who won 22 major titles in his illustrious career.

"That was the historic 23rd. Important moment, obviously,” he said. “I had a solid tournament. I would say I played pretty good, considering, not that great lead up claycourt season I had to Roland Garros. So I know that in Roland Garros, I play my best tennis on clay, and so that gave me confidence that I can play my best tennis in Paris. I did, particularly in the last few matches against Alcaraz, the semis, and he was in red hot form, but I had very clear tunnel vision of what I need to do and how I need to approach the match, and I think I played really good tennis there. And also in the finals, a very solid match against Casper Ruud. That last forehand that went wide from him, I just fell down on the court on the floor and had my children there and my wife and whole family. Just, one of the most beautiful moments I've ever experienced.”
