Gael Monfils has been the standout name so far. Monfils, World No.9 moved closer to a third title in Montpellier on Friday defeating Norbert Gombos 6-3, 6-4.
Monfils who claimed victory in this event also in 2010 and 2014 has now made the semi-finals in five out of his seven appearances and he has never lost in the Quarter-Finals.
He will take on Filip Krajinovic who he has defeated in their only previous tie in Miami in 2015 but the Frenchman will have the likely advantage anyway due to having a 6-2 start in 2020 reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open so is looking good.
Goffin defeated close friend and home favourite Pierre-Hugues Herbert with a 6-4, 7-6 victory with the World No.10 expected to get to this point. He will take on the World No.132 though in Vasek Pospisil.
The Canadian capitalised when Richard Gasquet retired after being 6-1, 1-0 down. He ill be aiming to make his first final since 2014 Citi Open.
