If you thought Day One of
Wimbledon was mayhem, Day Two is even more stacked with top talent including many of the top names involved. Some of whom aren't even on the Main Courts at SW19.
Our
preview looks ahead to Day Two with
Novak Djokovic,
Coco Gauff,
Jannik Sinner, defending champion Barbora Krejcikova and
Jack Draper all in action on Tuesday 1 July.
Djokovic and Gauff headline Centre Court
Beginning the Centre Court action as ever at around 1:30pm local time will be Barbora Krejcikova and like Marketa Vondrousova, it will be firmly upset watch. Vondrousova came in to the tournament last year having been injured consistently and was slumped out.
Krejcikova faces a player in Alexandra Eala seen as a real rising star and has had a good few weeks experiencing grass. She reached the final of Eastbourne in a potential look to WTA future against Maya Joint. She will be hoping to relish the occasion and cause an upset akin to her win over
Iga Swiatek in Miami.
From a one time winner facing a rising upstart, it only hikes up in regards to the name value as seven-time champion Novak Djokovic will return aiming to finally secure Grand Slam 25.
In a career that has seen him run slowly out of opportunities to attain the final goal, it is often Wimbledon that keeps him afloat in regards to his ambitions. But he has been usurped in previous years after being borderline unbeatable by Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz struggled on Day One. He saw off Fabio Fognini and Djokovic will hop his struggles lead way to his emergence. A player that like Fognini in his match defies age expectations even more. He jostles with Alexandre Muller, famous more for having Only Fans on his shorts.
Djokovic won in three sets against Muller back in 2023 at the US Open and will be huge favourite to succeed again. But the saying always goes, if you want Novak get him early. Muller will have to go for the throat early if he wants to succeed this time.
Then it is onto Coco Gauff. Always a debate when it comes to court placing as since being a teenager, she has often adorned Centre Court. But there is perhaps good reason for it given the pull that ESPN have and them showing the tournament. While it is good to have a compliment of Brits, one in particular could be said was perhaps snubbed for this match.
But that is for Court One. Gauff comes off the back of winning the French Open. Against Dayana Yastremska though is a bag of tricks that Gauff may struggle with. Also she isn't used to playing in the evening, often a get up go at 12 kind of player. She is often finished before most games are mid way through so how does she adapt to being the main focus on Tuesday.

Draper, Sinner and Kvitova's farewell on Court One
Perhaps chief to Jack Draper not getting the spot on Centre Court is maybe Petra Kvitova's farewell. She decided she would retire shortly after not enduring the farewell she wanted.
She is a two-time Wimbledon champion and when anyone really asks about the Czech ace, it is in fact those runs that stand out. A player that potentially won't get the grand send off but one that is perhaps deserving of it in hindsight.
Albeit she faces one of the tougher tests in the draw in Emma Navarro who stunned Coco Gauff last year twice in majors including Wimbledon. Her 2025 season hasn't been as kind but she can certainly play on the surface.
That match sits interspersed between perhaps the two star attractions in the men's draw on Tuesday alongside Djokovic in Jannik Sinner who opens proceedings as well as British hero Jack Draper.
Sinner will face Luca Nardi. Losing to Alexander Bublik in reality is no crime but perhaps put the breaks on the charge of the Italian in challenging Alcaraz immediately at SW19. But it is path of the course that Sinner will be likely a pretty simple winner hence why he is not on Centre Court.
Draper like in the Emma Raducanu slot on Monday is the British teatime fayre for those in the UK. The World No.4 has been somewhat diminished slightly despite being far and away Britain's top player and their greatest chance of glory. Emma Raducanu taking up column inches especially with the Alcaraz stories means that Draper has thankfully for him in a way stayed clear of high expectations.
But seen as the heir apparent to Murray in the way that Alcaraz was with Nadal. It could be a poisoned chalice. Never as fit as he has been and never as good as he has been, Draper is one of the favourites for the title and opens up against Sebastian Baez aiming to show why he should dominate conversation at the top of the British pecking order.
Jack Draper has thankfully for him not been as in the news as Emma Raducanu on Brit Watch.
Pegula, Swiatek, Rybakina dominate stacked line-up on outside courts
For those queuing in their droves overnight wanting tickets for Wimbledon, the outside courts are perhaps where it is at. Jessica Pegula fresh from winning Bad Homburg will be on Court Two.
A court to watch. Lorenzo Musetti follows on from Pegula's tie against Cocciaretto with the seventh seed facing Nikoloz Basilashvili. Iga Swiatek takes on Polina Kudermetova as she aims to finally crack the tough nut to crack in her case that is grass court tennis.
She reached a final at Bad Homburg last week but hasn't managed to further herself so far after being a junior star on the surface. Ben Shelton then ends with a fun clash with Aussie ace Alex Bolt.
Bad Homburg champion Pegula adorns stacked line-up elsewhere.
Elena Rybakina faces a tough tie against Elina Avanesyan on Court 3, one of the unseeded stars not preferred by the top names. A court also inhabited by Mirra Andreeva who will take on Mayar Sherif. Needing an upturn in form after a poor grass court foray, Andreeva will hope that begins in her first round.
Tommy Paul and Grigor Dimitrov are also involved on Court 3. Other stories include Danielle Collins v Camila Osorio, 17-year-old Iva Jovic, Maria Sakkari facing a tough tie against Anna Blinkova as well as the tucked away tie between Gael Monfils and Ugo Humbert. A masterclass in showmanship. Speaking of showmen, Alexander Bublik also faces Jaume Munar.
Victoria Azarenka, Karolina Muchova, Marta Kostyuk, Parks v Bencic and Aussie duo Maya Joint and Alex de Minaur also headline a class Tuesday line-up on the outside courts. As ever there will be the shocks but also the stories that we love about Wimbledon. Day Two is upon us.
