Prize Money 2024 Shanghai Masters with $8,995,555 on offer

The ATP tour will make it's return to Shanghai, China for the Shanghai Masters, which will be held from October 2-13, 2024 with the prize money now confirmed.

An ATP 1000 Masters event, the Shanghai Masters had been on hiatus since 2019. It returned last year with Hubert Hurkacz sealing the title. Albeit the Pole will not return this time due to injury. It is the penultimate ATP 1000 tournament of the season and always a star studded affair testing the metal of the top names in China.

Djokovic, Alcaraz to headline star-studded event

World No.1 Novak Djokovic is scheduled to compete at the event for the first time in five years alongside Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz as well as World No.1 Jannik Sinner. Several top talents will also be participating, including Medvedev, Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

With so many talented stars present, the prize pot will contain an enticing $8,995,555 which is more than the $8,800,000 on offer last year. The victor receives $1,100,000 with $585,000 for the runner-up. Semi-Finals see a purse of $325,000. While Quarter-Finals are set for $185,000. Furthermore, the winner of the event will leave with 1,000 ranking points, as the race to the year-ending ATP Finals heats up. Below is the full breakdown.
