The 2024 Rio Open will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with several clay-court specialists competing at the biggest clay-court tournament of the Golden or Latin American Swing.
An ATP 500 event, the tournament will run from February 19-25, 2024. The fan-favorite event will feature 32 singles players and a 16-team doubles draw. Several top stars will be compete at the Rio Open, with defending champion Cameron Norrie hoping to retain his title in a very talented field.
Former champion Carlos Alcaraz is the top seed at the event, after lifting the title in 2022. The Spaniard was on course to repeat his historic feat last year, but fell to Norrie in the final. The duo could clash again at this year's event, although they will face some resistance from the likes of Chilean Nicolas Jarry and Next Gen star Arthur Fils. With so many talented players scheduled to compete, it comes as no surprise that the tournament will feature a lucrative prize money pool of $2,100,230, which is 4% higher than last year's total.
