The 2024
Belgrade Open is the second edition of the event in the Serbian capital between November 3-9, 2024 and this one will feature a prize pool of $579,320 with Alex de Minaur headlining the event.
Usually a tournament that Novak Djokovic who was defending champion would attend. It is usually only held due to delays like the French Open in 2021 and now because Gijon Open couldn't be played due to operational reasons;. So as a result, it finds itself back on the tour during the final week of the regular season.
The overall
prize money is $579,320 which is one of the reasons that drew some of the best players in the world to the event. The event is once again going to be held on clay. There is not a defending champion as Djokovic won't play.
It's an ATP 250 event which means that the winner will get 250 ATP points. Besides the points, he will get $114,055. The losing player in the final will get a consolation prize of $66,555 and 165 points. Semifinalists will get $39,120 and 100 points with the lower rounds yielding fewer points.
It is a big tournament though in particular for Alex de Minaur who like Rublev, Ruud and Dimitrov in Metz is playing solely to try and book his spot in the ATP Finals. So they receive some star power that perhaps they wouldn't have got previously so it will be an interesting complexion to see how his week works out.
