Emma Raducanu impressed in R1 of the
US Open qualifications against Bibiane Schoofs winning 6-1 6-0.
The British player arrived in New York after showcasing impressive tennis in Chicago reaching the final of the 125 K event. More of that continued in New York with the British player demolishing Schoofs in a very quick match in R1 of the US Open qualies.
From the start, Raducanu showcased superior skill and tennis racing past Schoofs in many different ways. She served better, she played more consistent and more aggressively. She was able to end points quickly with effective shot-making and Schoofs simply had no answer and that's putting it lightly.
The first set ended in only 22 minutes with a score of 6-1 to Raducnau while the 2nd lasted a bit longer with Raducanu winning 6-2 in 38 minutes. All in all a stunning perofrmance by Raaducanu who looks very good and ready to reach the US Open main draw.
