The 2021 season was a very disappointing one for Rafael Nadal as the Spaniard failed to win a single grand slam including a very disappointing loss to Novak Djokovic at the French Open. Many months after that it was revealed that Nadal has suffered from a foot injury throughout the year which ultimately forced him to call time on the season.
Despite all of that Toni Nadal still sees Nadal coming back and winning a few more grand slams before retiring. He said:
"The younger players are coming up, it's getting tougher. But I think Rafa can be competitive for two or three more years and win a few more Grand Slams!"
It's an interesting opinion that would not find many backers among tennis pundits as Nadal looked very vulnerable throughout not only this year but the years prior. With the slow ascension of several players and with Djokovic still kicking around it's hard to see Nadal being as dominant as he was. He could very well win at least one more French Open.
