Raonic pulls out of quarterfinal clash against Dimitrov at Antwerp European Open

Milos Raonic was supposed to face Grigor Dimitrov in his quarterfinal match at the Antwerp European Open on Friday, however, the Canadian pulled out of the match because of the abdominal injury.

Although, the tall Canadian was showing his best tennis in the previous weeks, he needed to call for a medical time-out a couple of times and it was obvious that Raonic was not 100% fit during his matches. Despite that, he reached the quarterfinals at the Antwerp European Open where he was supposed to face Grigor Dimitrov.

However, on Friday morning, Raonic has decided to pull out of the match as well as the upcoming Erste Bank Open in Vienna where he was supposed to play alongside Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem and many others. Grigor Dimitrov is, therefore, the first semifinalist of the 2020 Antwerp European Open as he will meet the winner of the match between Marcos Giron and Alex de Minaur.
