After a brilliant first career victory on day 1, Alcaraz is back on the court today to face Federico Coria. The 16-year old will have a tough matchup but he could possibly win it. It's not a surprise he was given the honor to close out the program as the buzz around him is huge. The Rio crowd enjoyed his 1st match and surely will another one.
The program, however, will be opened by Garin and Delbonis. Garin is playing a great season so far and he is looking to enter the top 20. He loves to play on courts so he might achieve his goal here but here he will need to defeat Delbonis. The Argentinian is a capable tennis play on clay and he might prove difficult to beat.
The Rio crowd will then be able to see their native Thiago Monteiro. The Brazilian is playing great so far in Rio and he will look to continue that. His opponent will be Balasz who is having a resurgence late in his career. On the verge of entering the top 100 for the 1st time, he won't lack motivation.
The last singles match of the tournament will be between Andujar and Martinez. The Spanish duel will be a good watch as both players enjoy playing on clay. Andujar should be the favourite but you never know on clay courts. Come back later to see who won as we will have it for you with our daily recaps.
