Eurosport tennis analyst Laura Robson believes
Novak Djokovic gets easily frustrated when things are not going as smoothly as he would like due to his perfectionist tendencies.
It's not hard to believe that Djokovic is a perfectionist as he brought his game to a rather high level. Widely considered as having the least amount of pure tennis talent in the big three, Djokovic worked his way to quite possibly the greatest tennis career of all time. Hard work is something he lives by and Robson believes that those perfectionist tendencies are the reason he gets frustrated sometimes.
"I think he’s a perfectionist. Wanting perfection 100% of
the time. When it’s off that, he does get frustrated, like we saw with
the towels and talking to the umpire with such a comfortable lead. He’s so intense in the moment, and it helps his tennis, but there are times when it’s not necessary because he’s so much better than Paul, and there’s no need to stress. He was probably caught up in the moment and he couldn’t help himself. It happens to all of us."
