Students of the Dublin University, Jamie Duff and Ollie White couldn't believe it when they checked their Instagram DM following a regular tennis match in Ashbourne.
The 20-time Major champion
Roger Federer hit two students after they tagged him, praising their skills and hoping to fly to Ireland and play a charity match with them after the lockdown.
Roger hasn't played since the last year's Australian Open, struggling with a knee injury and undergoing two surgeries in February and May. In October, the Swiss had returned to the practice court and moved to Dubai in December, doing his best to recover in time for the Australian Open. Despite that, Roger couldn't get back at 100% by the season's opening Major, deciding to skip the best-of-five matches and setting eyes on Doha and Dubai in March as possible comeback events.
