It was a wonderful match on Centre Court at Wimbledon today between Roger Federer and Cameron Norrie. We got to see some of the best tennis Roger Federer has played in a while and the Swiss ace is looking better with every match he plays on grass. The first set was won by Federer with 6-4 and he played it extremely well.
He did not face a single break point and lost only one first service point in the set against Norrie who was a bit shaky. The 2nd set was when the match really started going. After shaking the initial nerves off Norrie played a much better set but he ran into a Federer that was on fire.
Roger blasted away 16 winners and committed only 7 mistakes in the set which he won only by 6-4. Norrie was playing really well and it translated into the next set where he did not allow a single break point until the final two games of the match. After saving two at 5-5 he forced break points of his own that he converted to win the 3rd set with 7-5.
The final set was an interesting one as Federer took an early break but allowed himself to get broken in the very next game. However, Roger would come back strong once again to break Norrie at the perfect time at 4-4 to take a 5-4 lead. He then served it out with 6-4.
