Rublev defeats Auger-Aliassime and sets up Adelaide final against Harris

Spectators in Adelaide had more than 5 hours of quality men's tennis during the semifinals when George Harris and Andrey Rublev booked spots in the final.

During the Friday at the 2020 Adelaide International, spectators first saw a match of two players who were not seeded and then a matchup between 2nd and 3rd seeded player. Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime were the star names of this day but in the women's part, Ashleigh Barty delighted the home crowd with a victory.
George Harris plays in a great form during the 2020 season so far. At the ATP Cup, he has won one match and he follows up on a good form in Adelaide. First, he succeeded in qualifying and now he is also successful in the main draw when he reached the final. In the semifinals, he has defeated the young American Tommy Paul. Already after the match, Harris knew he will have a difficult opponent in the final. Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime fought on the court for more than 3 hours. During the match, we could see 2 tie-breaks. First was won by the Russian as his opponent leveled the score in the second.
The third set was the only which was not decided in a tie-break. After leveling the score in the second set, Auger-Aliassime had a good start into the third when he led already 3-0. However, Rublev managed to win 6 games out of the following 7 to win the match. After triumphing in Doha, Rublev can add 2nd title in 2 weeks.
