After Dominic Thiem defeated Roberto Bautista yesterday, Matteo Berrettini and Andrey Rublev started their semifinal match at Thiem's 7. However, the rain stopped the match in the second set and so it had to be finished today.

On the first day, the young Russian won the first set, After he failed to convert the breakpoint in the 4th game, he was successful in the 10th game and won the set 6-4. Then, he led 2-1 in the second set, when the match was stopped.

It seemed that Berrettini brought better form on the next day. Immediately after players started to play again, he held his service game and had 2 breakpoints on his opponents serve. However, he failed to convert those and another two in the 9th game and so the set reached the tie-break.

And it was Rublev who prevailed in the tie-break and won it 8-6 to win the match 6-4, 7-6(6) and book the spot in the final of Thiem's 7. In the final, he will meet the organizer of the tournament, Dominic Thiem.
