Rublev keeps hopes for Russia high in Moscow as he faces Cilic in the semifinals

Andrey Rublev remained the only Russian player at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow but faces a big obstacle in semifinals as he will be facing Cilic.

Friday in Moscow started with a match of 7th and 4th seeded player. Adrian Mannarino managed to outplay Dusan Lajovic in an hour and 27 minutes 7-6 and 6-1.

Fans in Russia were hoping for another opponent for Mannarino in the semifinals as Karen Khachanov faced Andreas Seppi. Khachanov entered the match better when he won the first set 6-3. However, Seppi managed to level the score in the second. Everything looked good for Khachanov in the fird as he managed to grab alreay first Seppi's service game. But later he won just 2 points of 14 in games 7-9 and so he lost the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The next semifinal couple will consist of the third seeded Marin Cilic and home hope Andrey Rublev. Cilic defeated Chardy in 3 set battle after 2 hours and 23 minutes. Rublev faced lucky loser Milojevic and advanced after a comfortable win 6-2 and 6-3.
