Casper Ruud picked
Novak Djokovic as the player who would be most likely to win one match in order to save his life.
Casper Ruud thinks Novak Djokovic is currently the best player in the world with no disrespect to
Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic is certainly proving it at the ATP Finals going undefeated in the group stage with a very tough group.
The Norwegian talked about Djokovic and Alcaraz in Turin picking the Serbian as the player whom he'd trust to play for his life:
"I think on this surface, he's the best player in the world.
Like I said maybe earlier days as well, no offense to Carlos
because he has the No. 1 spot and will end the year No. 1, but if we
have to pick one on indoor hard court, depending on your life, I would
choose Novak to play that set or match to win it, if it was depending on
your life."
He concluded with:
"Looks like he's playing well. In Paris it showed that he's
human as well, lost in the final, a little bit surprisingly to a
younger, but also great player."
