Day Three of Wimbledon is upon us with most of the day set to clean up figuratively and literally rain delays with the Schedule now confirmed including the show courts.
As ever, TennisUpToDate preview the action with Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek and Daniil Medvedev among those in action

Djokovic and Swiatek anchor Centre Court proceedings

As expected, Novak Djokovic returns to Centre Court action and will be third on during Wednesday's schedule. He faces grass court specialist, Jordan Thompson.
Thompson took out Brandon Nakashima coming from two sets down to win 3-2 and will look to stun the eight time champion elect.
Many expect him to be hoisting the trophy come next weekend again but as ever, the best time to catch him is early with Pedro Cachin going a break up but failing to capitalise.
Likely a tougher test awaits with Thompson a smooth operator on grass but the third on match won't likely be a late affair.
Neither will be Iga Swiatek if her opener is anything to go by. She breezed past Zhu Lin on Court One and now receives Centre Court billing.
She said that she was pleased not to have the streak of last year to tie her down in this year's tournament and will look to use the pressure being also on Rybakina and Sabalenka to produce her best.
Next up is Sara Sorribes Tormo. She took out Martina Trevisan and has been gaining practice steadily in smaller tournaments after being injured but in a fired up World No.1, it likely won't be an easy time. She will look to evoke the spirit of Alize Cornet though who dumped out Swiatek 12 months ago.
While the other choice was an interesting one to begin as Jodie Burrage who reached the final of Nottingham losing to Katie Boulter faces the biggest court placing of her career as she opens Centre Court.
Similar to the French Open, the organisers pin their mast on home hopes and the 24-year-old from nearby Kingston upon Thames is the next one. She saw off Caty McNally in the first round but now will face Daria Kasatkina.
Kasatkina spoke about not expecting the reception she received in Paris with booing due to handshakes not being forthcoming against Elina Svitolina. But she will face booing for different reasons as she looks to silence the crowd. A tall order for Burrage.

Medvedev, Sakkari, Zverev finally begin campaigns

After rain delays cancelled an unprecedented amount of matches, many feature on the Day Three schedule.
Among those on the show courts include Daniil Medvedev facing Arthur Fery, Maria Sakkari finally begins against Marta Kostyuk and Alexander Zverev will face Gijs Brouwer.
Other ties that will be finished include the Taylor Fritz - Yannick Hanfmann match which many were puzzled why it didn't go onto Centre Court on Tuesday evening instead of Dan Evans.
As Dominic Thiem will also conclude his tie against Stefanos Tsitsipas. No change for Anett Kontaveit though who will still potentially retire with no fans present.
Holger Rune, Frances Tiafoe, Petra Kvitova, Mirra Andreeva and Bianca Andreescu will all either finish matches or finally begin their Wimbledon campaign.
The weather is brighter on Day Three and the first round should finally be complete by the close of play.
