The action continues at the Generali Open Kitzbuhel with Laslo Djere dumping out Diego Schwartzman in straight sets making the Argentinian's record 2-3 since the tour comeback.
Djere came through a tight tiebreak to begin proceedings after initially being 4-1 up with a break over the number two seed. Schwartzman came back to make it 5-5 and forced a tie break from there.
The former though went 5-0 up and despite two late points from Schwartzman to keep it interesting, Djere's lead was enough to see him claim it.
Second was closer at the start but more pedestrian on the scoreline. He claimed an early break at 2-1 up and a pivotal one at 5-2 up saw him wrestle control of proceedings.
Again Schwartzman kept it interesting at 5-3 with a break back but a break in the end saw Djere win the second 6-3 to knock him out in Austria.
It is now an entirely unseeded top half with Yannick Hanfmann winning the battle of the German's who have both caused multiple shocks this week and now the former finds himself in the semi-finals.
This comes after a 6-2, 7-5 win over Maximilian Marterer and now he will take on Djere in another unseeded affair for a place in the final.
