World No.25 Dayana Yastremska has split from her coach Sascha Bajin following her exit from the US Open, she announced on Twitter on Thursday morning.
Bajin is a former coach of Naomi Osaka and former hitting partner of Serena Williams and enjoyed success with Yastremska as the Ukrainian moved up to World No.21 earlier this year.
"I want to thank him for everything and wish him a good luck! It was a good experience for me," she wrote.
She later revealed that she will look for a new coaching team in the coming months with an announcement likely in November. Their split came following her exit to Madison Brengle 6-2, 6-3 in the second round at Flushing Meadows.
Since the restart, at the Western & Southern Open, she reached the third round losing to Naomi Osaka after wins over Bernarda Pera and Venus Williams. While before that, she lost to Camila Giorgi in the Quarter-Finals in Palermo.
