Jannik Sinner has beaten
Carlos Alcaraz before, even in a final, and while he admits that the Spaniard is the better player right now he keeps working toward that level.
Not many would argue that Carlos Alcaraz is the better player compared to Sinner right now and the Italian has no objections towards that either. Despite beating Alcaraz in a final before, Sinner knows that the Spaniard plays at a higher level right now and that's okay. It's not something that bothers him because he knows that he can reach that level too and he beat him before so he can surely do that again:
“The comparison with him is very stimulating, but at the moment he’s at a higher level than where I am, looking at what he’s won & the standings. But I’ve shown I can beat him. So if I can play my best tennis I can play against anyone.”
The score is 3-3 right now with Alcaraz winning the most important match they played at last year's US Open.
