Cirstea has called for the tournament official to check the court conditions, the court is "unplayable"
Sorana Cirstea was not happy with the condition of the court at the Rome Open calling for a supervisor because it was 'unplayable'.
It was a match between Ostapenko and Cirstea, two players that used to be very good friends a few years ago. The emphasis is on used to be because their handshake after the match would suggest that there is no more love there. In any case, it was a heated match in many ways as Ostapenko matches usually are.
Cirstea abandoned play after the 3rd game calling for the supervisor because the court was unpayable to her. She said to the umpire:
"It is very bad. No but this is the condition of the court. No all over the court it is breaking. I don't understand how they make us play on this court. It is unplayable."
In the end they continued with Ostapenko winning in three sets.
