With Matteo Berrettini officially qualifying yesterday we now know the names of six players that will play in the Nitto ATP Finals in November.
The remaining two places will be decided between essentially four players with the highest chances at the moment. Several other players are still mathematically in contention but it's unlikely they are able to make the cut unless they dominate the next few weeks of play. So far in Turin we will see Djokovic, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev, Rublev and Berrettini.
The next four in line are Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz, Jannik Sinner and Cameron Norrie. The Norwegian and the Pole have the biggest chances as of now simply because they are already ahead. Hurkacz suffered a devastating blow yesterday after losing to Andy Murray in R1. That presents a great chance to both Sinner and Norrie who are still playing this week.
Besides the Erste Bank Open this week we also have the St. Petersburg Open. The week after that we have the Paris Masters who is known for the occasional upset win so with the majority of points to be won at that event it might prove a very exciting and pivotal one for the ATP Race. Check out the current standings of the Race below.
