St. Petersburg Open 2020 Wednesday Schedule of Play - Medvedev and Wawrinka on the courts

The St. Petersburg Open 2020 continues on Wednesday and the schedule of play has the top seed Medvedev paired against Gasquet.

The top seed at the St. Petersburg Open Daniil Medvedev will play on Wednesday as the schedule of play has him playing late in the afternoon. Before him, there will be many interesting matches on display with the start of play at 12:00 CET. Denis Shapovalov is one of those that will kick off play against Viktor Troicki. The Canadian loves indoors hard courts and he will be looking to start off strong.

Another interesting match will be between Kecmanovic and Norrie. Two players who are up and comers on the tour and two play'ers that haven't had too much success lately. They will look to rectify that today. The later part of the day is reserved for premium matches. First Daniil Medvedev will take on veteran Richard Gasquet. The French player is far removed from his best day but he is still capable of doing damage.

The programme will be closed by Stan Wawrinka and Evgeny Donskoy. Wawrinka had to fight hard in round one against Evans but he pulled through. That should give him the confidence to continue playing well which he will need to in order to beat the Russian on Russian soil.
