Stefanos Tsitsipas avenged his Diriyah Tennis Cup loss to Norrie by beating him in pretty eays fashion in two sets in Abu Dhabi 6-1 6-4.
The match was rather competitive despite the scoreline suggesting so but it lasted well over an hour. Tsitsipas was much sharper in this match than recently in Saudi Arabia where Norrie triumphed 6-4 6-4. The first set here went to Tsitsipas 6-1 as he was able to dictate play rather well.
He's always been really good in Abu Dhabi playing there every year for the past two years. Some of that good tennis was on display early on as he dominated Norrie who was kind of off from the start. Nothing really worked for him but he did improve in the second set quite a bit. It was far more competitive as he served better as well.
All in all, it was much closer but Tsitsipas is still dominated on his serve rather easily and one break towards the end of the second set was all that he needed to win the match.
