That is why he reacted quickly undergoing minor elbow surgery in the previous days in order to recover and be ready for the 2022 season. The Greek player announced the surgery news on his social media writing:

There are also days where life is just about putting one foot in front of the other and that's OK too."
He finished off his mesagge by saying that he will be preparing for Australia in Dubai as he usually does:
