Stefanos Tsitsipas did not have a great end to his 2021 campaign as he saw his elbow injury cut short his runs in Paris and Turin.
The Greek player was forced to withdraw from both events due to an elbow injury that made it very hard for him to play tennis at all. That is why he reacted quickly undergoing minor elbow surgery in the previous days in order to recover and be ready for the 2022 season. The Greek player announced the surgery news on his social media writing:
"With each struggle, we get an opportunity to create our own unique story. Things often get tougher before they get easier. Some days life is all about your dreams, hopes and visions for the future. There are also days where life is just about putting one foot in front of the other and that's OK too."
He finished off his mesagge by saying that he will be preparing for Australia in Dubai as he usually does:
"Focused on a healthier and happier future. Next stop, pre-season in Dubai two weeks from now and then looking forwards to Australia."
