Upsets continue at the
Madrid Open with one of the ties set to see Pedro Cachin face off against
Jan-Lennard Struff in the Last 16.
Cachin dumped out Frances Tiafoe 6-1, 7-6 to reach the Last 16 with both having a huge chance to reach the Quarter-Finals. Struff in particular could reach back-to-back Masters 1000 Quarter-Finals.
He saw off recent Srpska Open winner, Dusan Lajovic 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 to move through and now sits within the top 50 on the live ranking after having to come through qualifying to seal his spot in this tournament.
So far, he has seen off Lorenzo Sonego, Ben Shelton and now Lajovic with Cachin next.
He is joined compatriot-wise by Daniel Altmaier who faces Jaume Munar in another surprise tie.
