The 2025 ATP season is barely over a month old and one of the most bizarre stories has emerged as musician Redfoo announced he will be participating in his first professional tennis tournament this month.

The frontman for American electronic dance music duo LMFAO, Redfoo is one of the industry's most charismatic and fun-loving performers. The pop duo have produced several hits over the years, ranging from the well-known "Party Rock Anthem" to "Sexy and I know it."

Tennis fans eager to see Redfoo's performance

The 49-year old took to social media to announce he would be participating at the M15 Sharm El Sheikh event, which is part of the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour. The hard court tournament will take place from February 3rd to 9th, 2025, with prize money set at $15,000.

“I’ve been playing tennis since I was a kid, and it’s always been a huge part of my life,” Redfoo said in a recent interview. “I’m excited to compete and show everyone that I can still bring the heat on the court.
“I love challenges, and this is definitely one of them. I’m ready to give it my all and have some fun.”

Several tennis fans were quick to show their support, with many wishing the musician good fortunes as he prepares for his maiden professional tennis event.

“It’s going to be interesting to watch him play,” wrote tennis fan, Jane Doe. “He’s got the energy and the drive, so who knows what he can achieve?”
