Tennis Channel has once again come under heavy criticism
after their feed cut off during the third set tie-break in the
Cincinnati Open
(Western & Southern Open).
The tournament finale turned out to be an epic encounter
where Serbia’s legendary tennis star
Novak Djokovic got the better of the
current world number one Spain’s
Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 5-7, 7-6, 7-6
on Sunday.
However, some of the fans missed the last chunk of the
action as Tennis Channel’s feed was cut off which led to heavy criticism from
the sport lovers on social media.
The feed cuts off when the deciding set tiebreaker was
equal at 3-3 as fans had to turn to Google to find out the result of the match.
The victory was indeed a very special one for Djokovic who
was looking to take revenge after being on the receiving end in Wimbledon
last month where he lost to the young Spaniard in a five-set thrilling final with a
score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4.
On the other hand, Alcaraz will be looking to get over Sunday’s result and turn his focus to the upcoming US Open where he will be
defending his crown this year.
