"Thank you for coming and we apologise" says Mektic as he and Pavic eliminate Italy in Turin

The most successful doubles pairing in the past year is still playing amazing tennis and they were very clinical against Sinner and Fognini. The Croatians won in two sets getting the 2nd point for Croatia which is what they needed in order to move on. It was a very good match in general between Croatia and Italy played in Turin before a very energetic Italian crowd.

After the match Mektic and Pavic spoke on the win saying:

"It honestly feels incredible. I don't think anyone of us expected to go this far but we played amazing and I can't believe we're going to Madrid."

Those were the words of Mektic while Pavic added:

"I want to congratulate the Italians, they played a great tie, and in that 2nd match Sinner came back from a set and break. And to the crowd, you were unbelievable. Thank you everybody for coming."

Mektic added an apology as well: "We apologise".
