Roger
Federer sent a message to
Rafael Nadal and
Novak Djokovic just before the
French Open.
The Swiss
is currently in the United States where he recently participated in the Met
Gala as co-host and attended the Miami Grand Prix, where he closely followed
the races. Federer was interviewed during the F1 event about the situation of
Nadal and Djokovic just before the French Open.
Nadal is
still dealing with his injury and it is unknown if he will participate in the
French Open, as he has not played on clay this year and recently confirmed that
he will not be playing in the Internazionali BNL d’Italy Rome. Regarding a
possible absence of the Spaniard, Federer said:
"It
would be brutal. That would be tough for tennis if Rafa wasn’t gonna be
there,"
"I saw
he pulled out of Rome so I wish him the best and then obviously Novak also
hasn’t played that much so I hope he is going to be strong as well,"
Federer added.
