Former world number one
Andre Agassi joined fellow American
player
Sam Querrey in an intense
pickleball session.
The 53-year-old shared a video on his social media platform
Instagram where he could be seen playing pickleball with Querrey.
The 36-year-old reposted the same video on his official Instagram
account with a title: “The coolest partner I've had so far @agassi."
Agassi was recently quoted in a report that he will continue
playing pickleball because of his love for tennis.
"There's tens of millions of people playing the game
for obvious reasons. They love it. And I'm one of them. I'm going to play
beyond this event just because I've learned it's a great form of exercise
outlet," he said.
The Las Vegas-born has had a fabulous career at the highest
level where he ended up winning eight Grand Slams.
His most successful competition was the Australian Open
where he lifted the title four times. Interestingly, Agassi won all four Grand
Slams in his career.
On the other hand, Querrey retired from professional tennis
in 2022, ending his 16-year-long career.
He ended his career with 10 ATP titles but did not manage to
win a single Grand Slam. Querrey’s most successful outing in a major event came
in 2017 when he lost the semifinal of Wimbledon to Croatia’s Marin Cilic with a
score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-7, 7-5.
