Rafael Nadal has not yet been confirmed for Roland Garros and recent video casted serious doubt about him taking part in the event at all with Novak Djokovic expressing hope that he will.
Nadal was recently shown to be in discomfort while practising. The video that surfaced online showed Nadal, presumably back home in Mallorca, hunched over and holding his knee with a painful expression on his face. It's not unclear what is going on or how old the video is but he didn't look like a player who was enjoying his time on a tennis court.
Uncle Toni recently confirmed that Nadal will indeed play at Roland Garros but only time will tell whether it will come true. There are a good two weeks left until the event for things to change but for now, it looks very shaky. His rival, Djokovic would love to see him in Paris because it would be a shame if he misses it:
“The tennis world & Roland Garros would be affected by his absence bc of his history in the event & what he’s achieved in his career. I’d like to see him play, bc for the competition, it’s best to have the best players so the challenge is as big as can be”
