93% - @NickKyrgios has won 93% of his service games in 2022, the best rate this year; he has won 587 of his 632 service games. Bang.
Brisbane International’s tournament director Cam Person has stated that Australia’s Nick Kyrgios will have a place in the event but he must do what’s best for him.
The 28-year-old is currently spending time on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from an injury concern. It was because of this reason he ended up missing all four Grand Slams in 2023.
Person was recently quoted in a report where he stated that Kyrgios has expressed his desire to play in the competition despite not being able to recover completely.
“Nick has come out publicly and said he really wants to play in the Australian summer,” he said. “He’s still in his recovery mode, he’s got to do what’s best for him. We’d love to have him here - he’s a past champion and a fan favourite - but he needs to do what’s best for him and his recovery.
“Nick’s got another week if he wanted to enter, but I think it will come down to Nick understanding what his body is telling him. If his recovery is right and he can play in January, there will always be a spot for him.”
