Juan Carlos Ferrero is a former world number one and grand slam champion and the Spaniard does not believe we will see another big three.
Ferrero had a very good tennis career that included quite a few highlights. The Spaniard did not leave tennis completely as he is currently coaching Carlos Alcaraz and the partnership is quite fruitful for the super talented Alcaraz. Many consider him a future number one but there is still work to be done on that front. Alcaraz is a modern type of player that according to Ferrero is more complete than players of old.
He said that during a talk with Punto de Break where he admitted that modern tennis players are more complete but that doesn't mean we will see another big three:
“There will not be a new Big Three although I think that today's tennis players are more balanced than before. It's hard to have three players winning everything for so long, I don't think we'll see it again."
He further said:
"We will see tennis players at the top for years, like Medvedev, Zverev or Tsitsipas, but also younger ones like Sinner or Korda. Hopefully, Carlos can also reach that level."
Asked about Alcaraz and the pressure he has Ferrero said:
"He absorbs it very well, without added pressure. Since everyone has started saying that he is the new player who could go right to the top, he has tried to stay in a small bubble. Above all, to try and stay on his own path."
