Casper Ruud quietly goes on with his tennis career racking up both titles and points and the Norwegian thinks it's fair that other young players are getting more coverage than he does.
It's been a very steady rise for Casper Ruud over the past two years with the Norwegian making a lot of progress overall in his game. He is firmly ranked inside the top 10, he played at the ATP Finals last year and even so not many are talking about him as a potential tennis superstar. When those talks arrive most think of Medvedev, Zverev or Tsitsipas but never Ruud.
Asked about that during another great run in Miami, Ruud kept it real admitting that they have done more in tennis so far:
"Well, I think those three guys that you mentioned have done better results than I have. I can honestly say that and admit that they have obviously achieved more. Just look at the facts, you will see that."
It's a fair answer and one that is true but it would be foolish to disregard Ruud as a great tennis player as the Norwegian quietly goes on about his business with nobody noticing. It's a formula that worked for other tennis players and he will certainly look to add even more on the clay he prefers.
