Dominic Thiem and Lleyton Hewitt took part in the ATP Champions chat which is a special programme introduced ahead of the 50th edition of Nitto ATP Finals.
The first episode of the series aired a few days ago where we had Pete Sampras and Novak Djokovic discuss several things. In this episode, Dominic Thiem and Lleyton Hewitt got paired together. Thiem was a finalist in 2019 (l. to Tsitsipas) and Hewitt is a 2x winner of the event. The talk was hosted by Tim Henman.
The episode started off with Thiem being asked of Hewitt's son and the Austrian had lofty praise for the youngster. He said: "He was on the court all day long, having such a good attitude, such a good practice, just like his dad" to which Lleyton smiled.
Another funny moment was when Henman asked which player would be faster baseline to baseline in their prime to which both players burst out laughing and Hewitt remarked with "My prime was a long time ago".
