Holger Rune saw himself portrayed very negatively after apparently outbursts towards his mother at the French Open.
The youngster was spotted addressing his mother during a match at Roland Garros with his mother leaving the court shortly after that. That's highly unusual because she practically never leaves the court when Rune plays and travels with him around the world alongside his coach. They are always in the stands when he plays but this time around she left after he said something to her.
Rune explained after the match that there was no outburst but the effects of media reports still linger. After a fan referenced that situation recently, Rune responded on Twitter. The fan wrote:
"He’s dreadful! After his antics in Paris I’ve got zero respect for him! The less we see of him the better!"
Rune responded:

It's not the first time he responded to a fan on the situation as in an earlier instance, Rune wrote:
"No my dear. I never am or will be rude to my mother. If you are referring to roland garros she was not the one I asked to leave and I told the press after but gossip lives forever."
