"This is not true": Anna Kalinskaya moves to deny 'fake rumours' about engagement to Jannik Sinner

Anna Kalinskaya has been forced to deny rumours that have spread in Italy from a publication that her and boyfriend World No.1, Jannik Sinner are engaged only months after getting together.

Sinnerskaya as they are known got together back in May with the duo having a fairly forward facing relationship given Sinner's want previously to keep his private life out of the spotlight. He was seen kissing her at the US Open final after he sealed the title.

Albeit compared to his previous relationships given that Kalinskaya is a top 15 player in her own right in the WTA, it is a bit difficult to keep it private. So much so that wild reports in Italy seemed to say that the duo got engaged after he won the US Open earlier this summer which she laughed off on Instagram.

According to reports in Italy from publication, DiPiu, the couple decided to get engaged at a party in New York after his US Open victory they wrote which has since been debunked as well as chatter about a pregnancy.

"And if to avoid all this I asked you to marry me?" said Sinner according to the report.

"I would tell you that I want to," Kalinskaya reportedly responded.

But Kalinskaya laughed off this report as 'fake rumours' taking to her Instagram story to say in both English and Russian: "To clarify things about fake rumours, this is not true," she wrote with Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) as the background music by Beyonce alluding to what rumours she was going on about.

Sinner is still in Shanghai as he saw off Tomas Martin Etcheverry earlier today in a scare. While Kalinskaya is facing Peyton Stearns again who retired with injury in their last tie just last week. They play in Wuhan.
