Despite being retired from professional tennis for over a year, Roger Federer still can't resist hitting a few practice shots, as he revealed on social media this week.
The 20-time Grand Slam singles winner struggled with injury in the last few years of his career, eventually hanging up his racquet after the 2022 Laver Cup, where he played his final doubles match alongside long-time rival Rafael Nadal.
Federer has still kept busy during his time away from the court. After joining the company 'On' in 2019, he has become a major ambassador for the Swiss organisation. In response to a video of Federer elegantly hitting a ball against a wall, former World No. 4 Mardy Fish jokingly responded: "Terrible footwork. This man is clueless about the game of tennis."
Fish himself has ventured into activities outside of tennis since his retirement, notably golf, even teeing it up in a PGA Tour event in 2022.
