Rafael Nadal is the most successful man at the Roland Garros in history, and today we will look back on his 12th Grand Slam title in France.
The journey to becoming the most successful man on the clay started already in 2005 for Nadal. Rafa managed to win the title for 3 more consecutive years then as he failed to lift the trophy in 2009 after his only triumph at the Australian Open.
In 2010, Nadal started another streak when he had won the title for the next 4 years. In 2015, it was Novak Djokovic who stopped Rafael and in 2016, the Spaniard was stopped by an injury.
However, in 2017 Nadal started another streak. He triumphed in 2017, 2018 and also at the last Roland Garros in 2019. Back then he defeated Dominic Thiem in the final. Players battled for more than 4 hours, and you can watch the highlights below.
It is not yet known if Rafael Nadal will be able to add another title also in 2020. Whole ATP Tour is suspended until 13th July 2020 and the Roland Garros was postponed.
