Czech Republic’s tennis star Barbora Krejcikova has revealed that she has struggled with fitness concerns in the recent past.
The 28-year-old has been out of action ever since taking part in the Abu Dhabi Open where she was knocked out after losing in the quarterfinal to Liudmila Samsonova in straight sex with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
Krejcikova, in a post on her official account on the social media platform Instagram, updated the fans about her health.
“Some more news about my condition. Today has been the first full day outside of my bed. Im still not allowed to practice nor do anything higher intensity so Im starting with some easy walks in our nature. I will keep you updated about my progress in next days. Barbora", she wrote.
Before getting injured, Krejcikova did not have a great start to her 2024 season. In the first Grand Slam of the year — the Australian Open — she was knocked out of after losing to the current world number two Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
Before that, she took part in the Adelaide International where she was knocked out of the competition after losing in the first round to Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets with a score of 7-5, 3-6, 7-5.
