Former world number one Rafael Nadal’s uncle Toni Nadal has expressed satisfaction over the return of the Spaniard to the court.
The 37-year-old has finally returned to professional tennis after nearly one year as he managed to recover from a lengthy injury layoff. It was because of this reason he ended up missing three out of four Grand Slams in 2023.

Toni, was recently quoted in a report where he expressed satisfaction about the performance of Nadal on his return to professional return.
"Rafa can be very happy because the level he is showing is good enough,” he said. “It's an exciting start, but we have to see him in more difficult games. At the moment, things are going almost better than we expected.
"Rafa has always had the good ability to get into shape very quickly. Sometimes, after many injuries, he has come back even better than he had done before. This time is the most difficult because the years are there & it is more complicated. Let's see if he can continue like this.
“If Rafa manages to play a few more matches, if in the Australian Open, he has a good draw, essential as he is not seeded, it is possible that he will have a good tournament.”
On his return, Nadal took part in the Brisbane International where his journey ended after losing in the quarterfinal to Australia’s Jordan Thompson with a score of 5-7, 7-6, 6-3.
