Jim Courier knows what it takes to become a Grand Slam champion as the American won 4 in his career and he believes Tsitsipas can win any of them.
Jim Courier had an exceptional career winning 4 Grand Slams and playing in the final of each one. He had a well-rounded game that propelled him to world number 1 in 1992. In total, he won 23 career titles and he believes Tsitsipas has the best all-court game out of all the young players.
Courier was asked to determine the chances of young players winning a grand slam to which he said:
“Any of these guys have the capabilities and the tennis skills to do it (win a major). Do they have the minds to do it? We’ll see."
Courier has his own favourite among the youngster and it is Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitispas. He said:
"For me, Tsitsipas has the most well-rounded game and the most all-surface game of any of these players. He can play at the net, the baseline, clay, grass, hard, indoors, outdoors, on the moon, I think the guy’s viable."
He further continued saying:
"That’s why I probably give him the edge as far as chances to win because I think he can win any of the majors. I think Medvedev clearly is not going to win Roland Garros, and Rublev not going to win at Wimbledon. That’s my view.”
